About the event

This peer support group for adoptive parents of transracially adopted children is a virtual space for honest conversations about race, culture, and identity. Co-facilitated by a transracial adoptee and a colleague with experience supporting BIPOC youth and racial identity, the group is designed to help parents listen, reflect, and grow in ways that strengthen their connection with their children.

Whether parents are looking to better understand the unique experiences of transracially adopted kids, explore strategies for culturally responsive parenting, or simply connect with others navigating similar journeys, this group provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment to learn, share, and support one another. This group will be held every Thursday morning the whole month of April, starting April 2nd. To foster emotional safety and authentic connection, this closed group is limited to 8 participants, with a minimum of 4 out of 5 sessions required.   Support Group Schedule: Tuesday, April 2nd at 9:30-11:00 AM Tuesday, April 9th at 9:30-11:00 AM Tuesday, April…
