About the event

This peer support group for adoptive parents of transracially adopted children is a virtual space for honest conversations about adoption, race, and the intersectionality of identity and belonging. Co-facilitated by two adoption-competent therapists who bring professional expertise as clinicians and lived experience as a transracial adoptee and a child of immigrant parents, this group is designed to help parents learn and grow in ways that strengthen their connection with their children who live "somewhere in between" cultures.


Whether parents are looking to better understand the unique experiences of transracially adopted kids, explore strategies for culturally responsive parenting, or simply connect with others navigating similar journeys, this group provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment to learn, share, and support one another. This group will be held every Thursday morning the whole month of April, starting April 2nd.
